1. What Ferret Ledger does
Ferret Ledger reads your subscription billing records, checks each renewal against that subscription’s cancel and pause history, and shows you charges that look wrong, along with the evidence. It also keeps a record of subscription changes and produces monthly statements. Our access is read-only. We don’t charge, refund, cancel or change anything in your account.
2. Who can use it
Ferret Ledger is for businesses. By connecting an account, you confirm that you’re authorised to do so for the business that owns it, and that you’re using the service for business purposes.
3. Findings are for you to decide on
A finding means our check shows a charge that your own records say probably shouldn’t have happened. You decide what to do about it, including whether to refund. Findings marked “needs review” are uncertain and need a person to look at them. We work only from the data your billing system gives us, and every report lists what we couldn’t see. We can’t promise to find every billing error, and our findings aren’t legal, tax or financial advice.
4. Your responsibilities
- Keep your own billing, refunds and dealings with your customers lawful and up to date.
- Don’t use Ferret Ledger to access accounts you aren’t authorised to access, or try to break or overload it.
- Keep your login link and your access to your page to yourself and your team.
5. Fees
Any fees are agreed with you in writing, or shown on our pricing page, before we charge anything. We won’t charge you for anything you haven’t agreed to.
6. Your data
Your data stays yours. We use it only to provide the service, as our privacy policy describes. Sealed statements and the change record are kept so that they stay checkable. You can ask us to delete all your data at any time.
7. Ending the service
You can stop at any time by uninstalling the Ferret Ledger app in Stripe, which ends our access straight away. You can also email us. We may suspend or end access if the service is misused, or if we stop offering it, and in that case we’ll give you reasonable notice where we can.
8. Liability
We provide the service with reasonable care and skill. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue or data. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or NZ$100 if you paid nothing. Because you use Ferret Ledger for business purposes, the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and sections 9, 12A and 13 of the Fair Trading Act 1986 don’t apply, as far as the law allows. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that can’t be limited by law.
9. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If the change is significant, we’ll email connected brands at least 14 days before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
10. Law
These terms are governed by New Zealand law, and New Zealand courts have jurisdiction.
